As you are undoubtedly aware, the situation in Ukraine is devastating, but the US healthcare community has an opportunity to assist.
The US Cooperative for International Patient Programs (USCIPP) – one of the three premier membership programs here at the National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL) – is supporting an effort led by Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Ukrainian Medical Association of North America (UMANA), and the International Trade Administration of the US Department of Commerce to help arrange for the donation of humanitarian aid to Ukraine in the form of medical supplies and equipment.
The USCIPP team here at NCHL has created a spreadsheet on Google Sheets with a list of the items that are most needed, which you may access by clicking here. If your organization is able to donate any items from this list, we encourage you to input your organization’s details and the quantities of the various items you have available directly into this cloud-based spreadsheet on Google Sheets (guests should be able to edit the document freely).Please note that this list is not exhaustive—we are happily accepting any medical consumables or other supplies you are able to donate. If you don’t see the name of an item listed anywhere in row three, feel free to add the name of the item and quantities available under “Other Supplies” on the far right of the document. If for some reason your organization cannot access the spreadsheet on Google Sheets, please click here to download the list as an Excel file. You may fill out the spreadsheet offline and send via email to uscipp@nchl.org. We will then input the data into the master file in the cloud on your behalf.
At this time, the first plane is scheduled to leave out of Chicago on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. We will try to coordinate flights from other cities where there are opportunities and supplies. If your institution can assist, please consider donating to this effort.
