October 22, 2024—The NCHL Board of Directors is thrilled to share the exciting news that Dr. Mindy Wyttenbach-Lindsey, PhD, MHS, has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer at NCHL. She officially began her tenure on Monday, October 21st.
Dr. Lindsey brings extensive experience in healthcare leadership and management. Most recently, she served as the associate vice president of operations at Mednax/Pediatrix Medical Group from 2010 to July 2024. In her 14 years there, Dr. Lindsey led organizational growth, maintained a perfect contract retention rate, and successfully integrated multiple acquisitions. Her strategic vision and financial expertise helped the organization excel, even in challenging circumstances.
Notably, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she took on the role of Executive Director at the Virginia Association for Hospices and Palliative Care, where her leadership increased profitability and guided the organization through its acquisition.
Her diverse background spans both non-profit and for-profit sectors, with early career experience at Johns Hopkins Health System and a publication in an international journal. Dr. Lindsey’s leadership has been marked by her ability to build relationships, foster growth, and navigate complex healthcare landscapes.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the NCHL Board Selection Committee—Jeanne Armentrout, Executive Vice President and CAO, Carilion Clinic; Bob Clarke, Chairman, Furst Group and NuBrick Partners; Jessica Melton, Chief Transformation Officer, University of Florida Health; Carrie Harris-Muller, Senior Vice President and Chief Population Health Officer, OhioHealth; Jeffrey Simms, Associate Chair for Alumni and External Relations, Gillings School of Global Public Health, UNC-Chapel Hill; and David Ertel, CFO, Vizient, Inc.—for their time, collaboration, and dedication during this process.
The selection committee and I are confident in her ability to lead NCHL into its next chapter. Her strengths in growth, relationship-building, strategic leadership, and adaptability align perfectly with our mission and goals. We are excited to see her drive NCHL forward.
